Coupon Haul @ Walmart, Target, and Savemart

Today was the first day in over a week I have been able to get out of the house and coupon. There are a lot of coupons that are expiring at the end of the month that I needed to use.

Savemart is having a 3 day only sale. Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Crunch were on sale $1.49 a box and there is a $1/1 any Honey Nut Cheerios and a $1/1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch IP (internet printable) making it $0.49 a box!

With all the overage I had from the Rachel Ray dog food ($0.61/ea), Enfagrow ($2.01/ea), Gillette shaving cream ($0.53/ea) I was able to put towards a new toy for Domo, new toys for Baby J, and snacks for Baby J. My OOP would have been a lot less if I had more $1/2 any Gerber food but it's okay since Baby J has snacks for the month of October and part of November. For a grand total of $29.95 after coupons I have snacks for both boys for a month and brand new toys.

I usually feed Domo a RAW diet but I love having the Rachel Ray Nutrisse dog food as a back up if I don't have a chance to cook or if we are visiting Baby J's dad side of the family. Plus, who can say no to free dog food and a $0.61 money maker!

Meet baby J and Domo

These boys are my world. After I found out I was pregnant with baby J in June of 2012 I turned my whole life around. As a single mom on a very limited income I had to figure out a way to provide for both of them. In January 2013 I discovered a couponing group on my baby forum and it's been a tremendous blessing ever since. I honestly can say I will never pay full price for anything again.

To step up my money saving game I started looking into making better diet choices for myself and home made baby and dog food. On Saturday's I do all the grocery shopping for the three of us and on Sundays I do our weekly meal prep. Baby J's veggies and fruits get pureed and put into the freezer, Domo is on a Raw diet also known as Prey Model Raw, and I am on a meal plan that consist of chicken breast and green veggies and other "clean" food. I have been able to budget our monthly meals to about $300 a month for all 3 of us. With my meal plan and breast feeding I was able to go from 130lb 2 days post partum down to 109lbs currently with out any excercise (besides the daily walks around the neighborhood.)

With this blog I would like to give you reviews on the products that I try for Baby J, Domo, and myself. Share recipes for Baby J, Domo, and my personal meal plan to achieve weight loss and keeping up my milk supply. Share current and upcoming sales and deals that I find. 

NYX at Target

I am so happy that Target carries NYX! No more ordering online, paying for shipping, and having to wait 3-5 days to get here.

I just picked up the classic NYX jumbo pencil in milk for about $5. I love love love this jumbo pencil when I'm doing my make up. It makes a great base for my eye shadow. I think I'll pick up the jumbo pencil in coffee bean  next.

Influenster Voxbox

A few months ago I signed up for Influenster. It's a great program where you review products online to qualify for the different Voxboxes that pertain to your lifestyle.

In the beginning of September I was finally selected to get a Voxbox. It was the Sargento Cheese Voxbox! I absolutely love cheese! This is what was included in my Voxbox:

This was such a great idea on Sargento's part. It was like the adult version of our childhood mozzarella string cheese.

After a few days of testing different snack variations of the cheese stick I found my favorite recipe.

Sargento Pizza wrap 

Ingredients:
1 Whole wheat tortilla
8 Slices Salami
10 Slices Pepperoni
1 Sargento Colby cheese stick


Directions Place all ingredients on a whole wheat tortilla, toast in toaster oven at 350 degrees for a few minutes. Remove roll up and eat.
